This webinar discusses the similarities and differences of career education in compulsory schools in the Nordic countries. Different strengths and challenges emerge in the comparison. The focus will be on what we can learn from each other. 

The discussion draws from the recent special issue on Career Education in the Nordic Journal of Transitions, Careers and Guidance

The third Career Guidance up North webinar is organized by Euroguidance Finland and Euroguidance Iceland in cooperation with the Nordic and Baltic Euroguidance centers.

Speakers:

Outi Ruusuvirta-Uuksulainen is a doctoral researcher and project manager at the Finnish Institute for Educational Research at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. Her recent work has focused on professionalisation of the career profession.

Sif Einarsdóttir works as a professor of Career guidance and counseling at the University of Iceland. Her research focuses mainly on career development and choice of youth. She has been active in Nordic/Baltic networks and comparison of career guidance in the area. She has recently focused more on interventions and practices supporting optimal career development and outcomes.
